Necessity Brings Innovation
Paradigm Solutions was established as a division of Hartmann’s Inc. to meet a need identified during our work with existing dispensing technologies. We were asked to design a much more efficient and simple liquid dosing system to benefit our existing clients.
In collaboration with our parent company, Hartmann’s Incorporated, an industry-leading manufacturer of various precision parts and assemblies, we harnessed their expertise. Hartmann’s Inc. has been in business since 1955, manufacturing and delivering highly technical machined parts to meet or exceed customer expectations. In fact, Hartmann’s Inc. is a HUBZone-certified and ISO 9001-AS9100-certified small business.
When you choose Paradigm Solutions, you also gain access to the extreme accuracy of Hartmann’s Incorporated.

David Duncan
David Duncan received his Master of Engineering degree from Tennessee Technological University and has over 35 years of experience designing high-speed automation equipment in multiple industries, leading mechanical, controls, and documentation teams. He also ran his own engineering consulting company for 5 years before being recruited by J&J Vision Care in Jacksonville, FL, in 2001. As a Sr. Principal Engineer, he led many of their automation projects for 20 years, mentoring many of their new engineers in the process. He considers it a privilege to have worked closely with world-class engineers and R&D professionals and quickly grew to the Subject Matter Expert level responsible for several of their most critical processes for stringent quality requirements and production goals.
As a strategic supplier for J&J, Hartmann’s Inc. supported many of David’s projects with critical machined components. He retired from J&J in 2019 and, shortly after, joined Hartmann’s team as Director of Automation. Alan and David agreed that a better dispensing method was needed—one that could gently dispense a precise volume of various fluids at a reasonable price, be simple to operate, yet robust enough to meet the demands of a 24/7 operating environment. David’s design experience and Alan’s manufacturing knowledge, combined with their shared passion for providing a quality product, seamlessly merged to create this new dispenser technology.
